Graduating...Again!

Yesterday, I finished revising the last requirement for my MBA in Health. It is a wonderful feeling to realize that two years have passed and I was able to finish yet another course, my fourth specialty! Now I am more confident to seat with the business executives in Makati without having to wonder what the hell are they talking about when they speak about market size and growth, financial impacts, brand equity and other business lingo. I will now understand where they are coming from and how a business should run. Who would have thought that one day, I will be in the company of 'men in ties and suits"? A 'probinsiyano' from a place my former classmate call "isang dipa na lang, langit na!" is now one of those hastily walking in the streets of the Makati business district. '87 to '07

Late last year, I received a friendster message from a high school friend informing me that one of our former professors was tracking me down for some reasons. Since it's been ages when I last set foot on my secondary school alma mater, I didn't have any contact with them, so I just had my mobile number sent to our teacher. Few weeks after that, I received a call from my geometry teacher and after exchanging pleasantries, I was told that he was looking for me because they want me to be the guest speaker in our school's Recognition day this end of March. Without second thoughts, I humbly accepted the invitation. The other day, the formal letter was handed to me by one of the students. I don't know if it's just coincidence or a fate but I realized that on the day I will be giving my 'inspirational talk', it will be exactly the 20th year after my own high school recognition/graduation!
