Desire and Hope

Today is a 'big day' for me. What happens today will spell much of my tomorrow. As always, I leave it all up to the Lord's will. Dear God, I am full of wishes, full of desires, full of expectations.. Some of them may be realized, many may not.. But in the midst of all my satisfactions and disappointments, I hope in you. I know that you will never leave me alone and will fulfill your divine promises.. Even when it seems that things are not going my way, I know that they are going your way and that in the end Your way is the best way for me! - Henri Nouwen

Time

This is a beautiful song that is very apt to my 'moving on' to the next chapter of this life. It affirms my principle that it does not matter how time flies, rather, it is what I have done with every moment of those times. Time by Billy Porter What is time? Is it the autumn leaves that change? Or the snow that floats from the sky What is Time? Is it the air we breathe? Or the wings that teach the new born bird to fly? Who can tell? I don’t know Will we change? Will we grow? What is time? Is it eternity in heaven? Or just a hope for peace on earth? Where’s the time? Gone in a blink of an eye But with every blink a birth... We live We learn We love In time We give We urn We grow In time Time for change Its time to care It’s not too late Don’t despair Reach inside your heart To find the joy and love To share with all mankind For all we know All we have Is time...

It’s birthday time again! Another year of my life has gone by. I am older but wiser than I used to be! Getting older is so much fun, Aside from the endless greetings Respect accorded is one notch higher. Despite the receding hairline A more mature look makes me more dashing. 38 years of a blessed life and counting... Hooray for getting older!

Respect

Respect is a lesson that everyone should learn Respect must be given before an expected return Respect is something that’s given for free Respect is about us and never about me Respect is the basis on which relationships are founded Respect is the anchor that keeps a person well grounded Respect builds the character and defines who we are Respect sets the standard and raises the bar Respect is magnanimous and helps to fulfill Respect is the partner that sits with good will Respect is like honey so sweet it’s perceived Respect is a taste to savor for when it’s received. -  by Don Wilson I am a person slow to anger. I can only remember few times when I really got so mad. One of those instances was when I was disrespected by someone I worked with. I can still remember that moment when it felt like all my blood were up in my head and smoke were coming out of my ears, literally. This morning, a smoke of anger came out of my ears again when I read one disrespectful message ...

Cancer 101

Former President Cory Aquino and an aunt of mine died of colon cancer. It is one of the few types of cancer that has a low 5 year survival rate. Speaking of cancer, here are few facts that we should know, based on the studies by Johns Hopkins University. 1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size. 2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime. 3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors. 4. When a person has cancer, it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle...

Ninoy's Love: A Tribute to Cory Aquino

“I Have Fallen In Love With The Same Woman Three Times” by Ninoy Aquino I have fallen in love with the same woman three times; In a day spanning 19 years of tearful joys and joyful tears. I loved her first when she was young, enchanting and vibrant, eternally new. She was brilliant, fragrant, and cool as the morning dew. I fell in love with her the second time; when first she bore her child and mine always by my side, the source of my strength, helping to turn the tide. But there were candles to burn the world was my concern; while our home was her domain. and the people were mine while the children were hers to maintain; So it was in those eighteen years and a day. ’till I was detained; forced in prison to stay. Suddenly she’s our sole support; source of comfort, our wellspring of Hope. On her shoulders felt the burden of Life. I fell in love again, with the same woman the third time. Looming from the battle, her courage will never fade Amidst the hardships she has remained, un...
